Cook Islands: Reef Walk with Kura

Dec 5, 2019: From Marg’s Notes: After a quick breakfast, we headed out to go for a Reef Walk led by Kura. We drove to her house…not far away. After a brief introduction we walked across the road to the beach. Turns out Kura was one of the leaders of our Turtle swim last year. Her uncle owns the company. We walked on the reef for almost 4 hours. We saw urchins, sea cucumbers, baby clams & other tidal creatures. It was a beautiful day. On the reef by the channel, we saw 3 turtles. A ray jumped, but only Pam saw it. Rog got lots of pics! After our walk, we went back to her place for a “snack” of coconut, Bu (Nu), pawpaw, pineapple, banana, H₂O melon, & coconut pancakes! Lunch! Of course we were exhausted! Came back for a shower & a nap! Ended up having cheese, crackers, etc. for dinner. Then bedtime! I forgot that we went into town to Foodland after our nap! Got $ at the BSP ATM too.
